Restorative Practices for Communities
The Restorative Continuum

The Restorative Continuum: A Tiered Approach to Connection, Accountability, and Repair

This section introduces the Restorative Continuum—a framework that outlines five tiers of restorative practice, ranging from daily expressions of care to structured responses for serious harm. Designed for use in community fellowships, spiritual groups, and civic organizations, this resource explores how each tier can be used to strengthen trust, navigate conflict, and foster healing relationships.

The section includes:

  • Clear definitions of each practice on the continuum

  • Real-life examples from group and community settings

  • Guidance on matching practice to the depth and nature of the need

  • An introduction to formal restorative conferences and when they’re appropriate

Download and read the guide, reflect on the examples, and bring your thoughts and questions to our in-person workshop or share them in our Google group.
