Restorative Practices for Communities
The Restorative Continuum
Language the Connects
This section introduces the foundations of compassionate, restorative communication. Grounded in the work of Marshall Rosenberg and Carl Rogers, it offers practical tools for speaking and listening in ways that deepen connection, increase accountability, and support community healing. You’ll explore the four components of Nonviolent Communication (observation, feeling, need, and request), revisit the power of affective statements, and engage with practices that help you shift from judgment to understanding.
